Meet Amy

Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, Pilates & Yoga Instructor

Amy graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2007 and returned to her hometown, beginning her career within the local NHS trust. She completed all physiotherapy core rotations before specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and now works as an advanced practice physiotherapist with NHS.

With over 18 years of MSK physiotherapy experience across both NHS and private sectors, Amy has worked with high-level professional, giving her a deep understanding of performance-related injuries and rehabilitation. She also has a strong interest in hypermobility, tailoring treatments to support patients with joint instability. Amy uses a wide range of advanced assessment and treatment skills to create comprehensive, individualised treatment plans, empowering patients to understand their conditions and the most effective ways to manage these. She has excellent knowledge of spinal and peripheral conditions.

Pilates Expertise

Amy completed her Mat Work series of modified Pilates in 2010 and has been teaching Pilates locally in the Westgate area for over 15 years. She has extensive experience adapting Pilates to all levels, with a focus on:

Promoting relaxation and body awareness

Her classes emphasize a mindful approach, helping participants understand how their bodies move and encouraging long-term physical wellbeing.

Yoga Journey

Amy discovered Yoga in 2016 while attending the Wilderness Festival. Previously, she thought yoga was “only for super bendy people,” but she quickly fell in love with how it helped her feel calm, focused, and in control in daily life.

She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 during a residential course in Morocco. Amy’s approach combines strength, balance, and mindful movement, drawing on her physiotherapy knowledge to enhance each session. Her Vinyasa flow classes are designed for all abilities, with a focus on:
